I am an active participant in the professional design community. I currently serve on the jury for the IDSA International Design Excellence Awards, received the IDSA 20/20 Recognition Award, and continue to engage in public speaking on a variety of topics including Diversity in Design, Barriers to Women In Design, and Design for Good.
I have 9 years of design experience designing for Fortune 500 companies, consultancies, and start-ups, where I have created products ranging across multiple industries, including, but not limited to, Apparel, Footwear, Accessories, Technology, Healthcare, and Graphic Design. I create impact through human-centered design and empathy.
My passion is to create and invest in design communities for creatives to create lasting relationships, find resources, and exchange ideas in a safe space. I’m most proud of co-founding the Hue Design Summit, an annual un-conference for black designers. I served on the Advanced Design Board of Advisors for 2 years and I continue to offer my service through mentoring young, aspiring designers on the Black Talent Fund.
